individual instruction

Students at The Music Zoo are paired
with an instructor who can address
their individual needs.
Sometimes learning out of a book
isn't enough; our staff has the
professional, real-world musical
background required to help students
bridge the gap from the practice
room to the stage. All levels,
from beginner to advanced, are
welcome. All styles taught.
Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz, Classical,
and beyond, you can learn it here.

ensemble instruction |
|
|
|
Our
ensemble program is designed to give
students an invaluable experience
-being in a real, live band.
Space is limited in this exciting
program and currently, students may
join an ensemble by invitation of
his/her instructor. Only top
students will be eligible for
selection into ensembles. The
bands will work together over a
twelve-week course honing their
skills and learning the art of
playing in a live situation.
At the end of the course, the band
will strut their stuff by recording
an album together in a professional
recording studio. Think you have
what it takes? Sign up for
lessons now. |

All of
our lesson and ensemble rooms now
feature digital multi-track
recording with CD burning.
You can take home a CD of your
lesson to help you at home; there is no additional charge unless
you need to purchase a blank CD from
us. All rooms are comfortable and fully
furnished -guitar and bass amps,
cables, stereo systems, metronomes,
and clocks are in every room, with
two real pianos for the piano
students and two drumsets for our
drummers. Parents and friends
may sit and wait in our lounge area.

“The Music Zoo is
awesome. I love it. My daughter is in
fourth grade. She started lessons in
August and by the time she started playing at
school in September, they moved her to fifth
grade band. The kids are encouraged when
they come out of lessons. They’re excited and
enthusiastic and the parents can see that. The
kids need an outlet- it’s so important.”
CJ Reitman - Great Neck, NY |

"The music zoo gave my son Michael the wings to
fly and for that I am grateful. He has a band and he plays bass guitar all
thanks to The Zoo"
Mrs. Antonucci - Bayside, NY |

"I've been
playing for 18 years, but didn't even know how
much I didn't know until I started studying at
The Zoo. The teachers have really helped
me pull my playing out of a rut. Thank you
Music Zoo." Sean Giordano - Port
Washington, NY |

"My boys really like The Music Zoo. The best
part is that they are learning, but it doesn’t
feel like school. They have fun with it. Also,
all of the staff is really friendly."
Diana
Jafri - Little Neck, NY |

"Luca is a very nice teacher. He has taught me a
lot of things since I was 5. He teaches all the
songs I want him to and he’s good at it. He
learns them right away for me. He teaches me a
lot in the time he has." Rafael
Jafri (8 years old) - Little Neck, NY |
