Found on YouTube: a little over 7 minutes of beautifully restored 8 millimeter film shot inside Fender’s original Fullerton, California guitar factory in 1959. Uploaded by a film restoration company called CinePost, this is a fascinating look into the early days of this iconic American company in the middle of a landmark year for solidbody guitars.

Fantastic film of the Fender factory in 1959, actually showing Leo Fender, Freddie Taveres and Abigail Yabarra (who still winds pickups for the custom shop. Many thanks for posting such a great slice of history….did you see how much hand cutting and routing those guys were doing !
