Here's a guitar that's radically different than anything we've ever seen before at the Zoo, this Aristides OIO electric guitar. The OIO is crafted out of Arium, a material developed by Dutch engineer Aristides Poort. Poort sought out to develop a material that had perfect acoustic qualities, loud and clear resonance with a ton of sustain. The end result of the hard work and research was Arium.
The body and neck of the OIO are made out of a single piece of Arium, with a high-quality piece of ebony for the fretboard. With its medium jumbo frets and compound fretboard radius, it's easy to tell that the OIO was built for superior playability. The guitar is loaded with Seymour Duncan pickups, as well as a push/pull volume, allowing you to split the coils of the bridge humbucker. Once you play the OIO, you notice that the guitar rings out nice and loud, with good note separation even through a distorted amp. The OIO does what a great guitar should, while looking like nothing else out there. This OIO has been sprayed with aluminum particles to give the guitar its unique look. By doing so, the aluminum particles will react to your playing style over time, giving the guitar a tint all its own.
