2007 Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster Relic Dakota Red - Used
Nicely relic'd and broken in is this pre-owned 2007 Custom Shop '51 Nocaster. It's in excellent shape, plays and sounds warm and open. Built with a lightweight ash body, a maple Nocaster neck with a big "U" profile, a great-sounding and robust bridge pickup with flat pole-pieces and smooth tonefrom the neck, and just a nice patina from the Dakota Red finish (this guitar is from a limited run finished in that color).

It features an alder body, maple fretboard with a 9.5" radius and 22 frets, and vintage noiseless Strat pickups with the Master TBX tone control. Scale length is 25.5" and neck width is 1.65" across the nut (made from bone). The neck profile is a soft "V" carve. Other details include vintage style tuners, nickel and chrome hardware, and a blocked American vintage tremolo.

2012 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Bent-Top Telecaster Electric Guitar Honey Burst - Used
Here's a limited edition Bent-Top Tele, pre-owned and in excellent condition. It features an ash body with a quilted AA-Birdseye maple cap under neath a striking Honey Burst finish. The "Bent-Top" thing refers to an arm contour on the instrument's maple top, which makes for plenty of comfort for your right arm when seated. Other features include a T.V. Jones Filter'Tron pickup at the bridge, a large "C" shape maple neck, a rosewood fretboard with medium jumbo frets and a 9.5" radius, and a Twisted Tele neck pickup. Only 30 of these rare guitars were made, and they're fantastic. Comes with paperwork, case candy, and a certificate of authenticity.

2012 Fender Custom Shop Telecaster NOS Limited Edition Electric Guitar Dakota Red
Here's a pre-owned Fender Custom Shop Telecaster. It's finished with a Dakota Red top and black back and sides. This guitar is unique due to the top's binding, yet we cannot realistically call it a Tele Custom as it doesn't have binding on the bottom nor does it mention "Custom" on the certificate of authenticity or the instrument's headstock. Anyway, this team-built guitar has an ash body and a quartersawn maple neck with a "C" profile and 9.5" radius and 6105 frets. Pickups are a Twisted Tele at the neck and a hot Nocaster at the bridge. Condition is excellent with only a small ding on the guitar's back.

2014 Fender Custom Shop Exclusive '60 NoNeck Stratocaster NOS Electric Guitar Vintage Blonde
The Stratocaster® is an icon. A legend. It's one of the most played and most playable instruments ever made. We love a vintage Strat at The Music Zoo. But one of our favorite neck shapes ever to come on a Fender® guitar came not on the Stratocaster®, but on the '51 Nocaster®. As far as we're concerned, Leo Fender hit it out of the park on his first swing. Fender's first solidbody guitar had a neck shape that can only be described as colossal. We liked the Fender® Custom Shop's reissue of the '51 Nocaster (and that huge neck) so much that we had to have it on a Strat. Call us selfish, but we got what we wanted, and now you can have it too. The Nocaster-Neck Stratocaster. The NoNeck.

It's no wonder that Leo Fender hit a home run in 1951; many guitarists have noted that the neck felt like a baseball bat. It is super round, a big fat "U" shape that has very little taper from end-to-end. The NoNeck looks like a '60 Stratocaster® but has the amazing feel of an original Nocaster. We can't tell you how many times people who are accustomed to a skinny "fast" neck have picked up a NoNeck Stratocaster®, smiled, and said it was the most comfortable neck they've ever played. But it's not just the neck shape that makes these guitars special, we have rolled some of our favorite guitar specs into the NoNeck as well. A relatively flatter than vintage 9.5" fingerboard radius and big 6105 medium jumbo frets make bends and fast fretwork easy peasy. The pickups are consistent with a '60 Stratocaster®, but with a twist in the middle pickup: it's reverse wound, flipping the polarity so when the 5-way pickup selector is in one of the "in-between" positions (which we love) the usual pickup hum is gone. Essential if you crank it up and play with overdrive.

The NoNeck is available in both NOS and Heavy Relic nitro-cellulose lacquer finishes. The Heavy Relic versions have the finish worn off the back of the neck as well. Feels great. Lots of colors available too. So are you ready for one of the most comfortable Stratocasters you've ever played? Is The Music Zoo in Little Neck, New York? (We are). There's a joke in there somewhere. Give us a call or an email for an in-hand description of the NoNeck Stratocasters® we have in stock now.

Fender Custom Shop '64 L-Series Stratocaster Relic Electric Guitar Ice Blue Metallic
Here's a '64 L-Series Stratocaster Relic from Fender Custom finished in Ice Blue Metallic nitrocellulose laquer. The “Relic” models are aged and worn in places, thus replicating what a vintage guitar would be like if it was heavily used and played for decades. That's the look offered with this ’64 reissue model. In all respects, it’s identical to an actual 1964 Strat; select alder body, an early ’60s C-shaped maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and very curvaceous 7.25” radius, and hand-wound pickups are among other great things about this guitar. It also has an L-series serial number and neck plate stamp, which is common for Fender guitars built back in 1964 and '65. It’s nice and lightweight, and plays and sounds wonderful right out of the box. Comes with period-correct brown hardshell case, Custom Shop tool kit, cable and strap, and certificate of authenticity.

Fender Custom Shop '69 Strat Electric Guitar White - Used
This pre-owned 1969 Strat from the Fender Custom Shop is in excellent condition all around. It’s as if Jimi walked into Manny’s Music on a lovely Spring day and pulled one off the wall and put it into your loving arms. “Hey, my name is Jimi and I’m gonna play a song for you, dig it, and then you can have my guitar, cool cool dig.” This is a great playing, sounding Strat, representative of everything that makes the almighty Stratocaster a template for all others. Consider, those brilliant overtones and harmonics, the top-end shimmer, sparkle, the throaty honk of that front pickup. This particular guitar, built in 1997, is a Closet Classic edition and its U-shaped neck bears a dark rosewood fretboard that feels great under the fingers. Its Olympic White alder body is finished in urethane.
