Gibson Custom Shop Collector's Choice #18 "Dutchburst" '60 Les Paul Electric Guitar Dark Burst
Number 18 in Gibson Custom's series of Collector's Choice guitars is a 1960 Les Paul that didn't belong to a rock star or in any way alter the course of popular culture. It was a custom order back in 1960 for a Dutch guitarist who played songs like "Besame Mucho" on a North Sea cruise ship. Unique to this instrument, however, is its balanced PAF pickups, gold top hat/silver insert knobs, and a very cool special-ordered dark sunburst finish. This guitar is a hand-aged replication of the original guitar, and it plays, sounds, and looks fantastic!

Gibson Custom Shop '58 Mahogany Explorer Electric Guitar Heritage Cherry
The Gibson Custom '58 Explorer is a faithful reissue of the original, except for the fact that the original Explorer (and also its equally pointy brother in arms, the Flying V) was fabricated with a Korina body and neck. Only 40 Explorers were made in its original run beginning in 1958, but when its was reintroduced in 1975, mahogany was the medium. Ergo, everthing about this Custom Shop reissue is faithful in specs and details except for the korina. Pickups are very PAF-like Custombuckers. Visually, the guitar's Heritage Cherry finish combined with a white guard, gold hardware, and black pickup surrounds looks pretty stunning, at least to us here at the Zoo!

Gibson Custom Shop '58 Mahogany Explorer Electric Guitar Heritage Cherry
More than 55 years since the Gibson Explorer made its 1958 debut, it still looks radical. Arguably the world's first pointy guitar (alongside its Flying V and Moderne stablemates), its edgy design continues to influence guitar design today. This very special Benchmark reissue is nearly identical to the original, except for the substitution of Mahogany for Korina in the body construction. Gold hardware and custom-wound Benchmark EBucker pickups help make for great looks and authentic warm Explorer tone.
