This is a truly amazing instrument, work of art, and a piece of Gibson history all in one. From Gibson Master Luthier David Harvey comes this K-5C Mando-Cello with a cremona sunburst finish. This is the first time Gibson has built a Mando-Cello in over 75 years, and the first Mando-Cello ever built with a 17.5" L5-C based frame. It features late-twenties style L-5 appointments such as a mother of pearl "The Gibson" and flowepot headstock inlays, mother of pearl block fretboard inlays, a period correct patent-stamped height-adjustable ebony bridge, a twenties style K-5 gold plated tailpiece and hand engraved tailpiece cover, and gold Grover tuners with pearl buttons.

This is an instrument we all felt really privileged to just see in person. No detail has been overlooked on it, and lets not forget about the tone. Crystal clear with a great bass that isn't overpowering, the Mando-Cello is an instrument that will inspire you to write music you never thought you would.

There are two labels inside the body of the instrument, one of which is signed by David Harvey with a hand written #1 to signify this special occasion.
