Here is a really cool 1966 Ampeg Portaflex SB-12 flip-top amplifier. This is a great single channel vintage amp that is unique in the fact it connects to the speaker through the latches. It has a five tube chassis with 2x 12AX7, 2x 7868, and 1x 5AR4. It also has 2 inputs and 3 simple controls: volume, treble, and bass. The tone produced is exactly what you would expect of an amp from that era; warm and full, with big bottom and thick mids. It is a very useful amplifier to have around as it can be used for both guitar and bass, great studio amplifier as well, a lot of producers and engineers swear by the straight forward clean tube tone it produces. Also makes a great small practice amp for apartments and small homes where space is an issue. The amplifier appears to be all original, with the exception of refitted 15” speaker. It has also had the tolex stripped from the cabinet and the handle is brittle.
