In 1993 Fodera developed the NYC Series in response to requests from many of their players and dealers. They asked that they create a bass guitar that would bridge the gap between vintage instruments and Fodera's own custom bass designs. They began with a clean sheet of paper and sacrificed nothing to create an instrument that would satisfy this demand but be built in less time, and at a more moderate price point than their fully custom pieces. The current bass is handcrafted from the same fine ingredients as their own most expensive custom models to insure that you get the tone, feel, and playability that you expect from a Fodera!
