True Historic 1959 Les Paul Reissue Electric Guitar Aged Vintage Dark Burst Item Description
The Gibson Custom Shop's reissue Les Pauls are known for their great feel and authentic features that make them perfect for players and collectors alike. This new 1959 True Historic Reissue is the latest chapter in the Les Paul Reissue story. This guitar here features a nice Vintage Dark Burst finish that opens up towards the middle, showcasing all of the figuring in the flame maple top, and comes in at a super comfortable 8 lbs!
The double carved maple top is mated to the mahogany back with hide glue for a tone and sustain that has to be heard to be believed. The mahogany neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that features hand-rolled binding to get this guitar as close to the original feel of a 1950’s guitar as possible. All the small details from the top hat control knobs, to the authentically shaded plastics, to the classic Les Paul peghead holly veneer have been carefully recreated.
