Joe worked with the custom stop to recreate the pickups in his original 1959 Les Paul dubbed ‘Principal Skinner”. These recreations are wound on the historic Leesona machine that created humbuckers for Gibson back in the ‘50s and ‘60s, the set features an Alnico 3 magnet in the neck pickup and an Alnico 3 in the bridge. Each antiqued nickel-silver cover is an exact match to the Principal Skinner guitar pickups, down to the indentations. Period-correct butyrate bobbins and maple spacers offer a vintage vibe to these pickups. Each of the 800 sets will be hand signed by Seymour W.
