NAMM 2013 Never one to be outdone by either the Fender or Jackson Custom Shops, the Charvel Custom Shop always comes out swinging at NAMM, revealing a gamut of unique instruments; some just a twist on a classic San Dimas, others an artful twist with a masterfully done custom paint job.  Either way, these guitars are sure to capture both the players eyes and ears.  Here are the four Charvel Custom Shop NAMM pieces that will be coming through our doors very soon.

First off we have a gorgeous Charvel Style 2 “Butcher Block” that has been crafted by Pat McGarry with a mahogany body, 3-piece mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard. The pickups are a DiMarzio Steve’s Special in the bridge with a DiMarzio PAF in the neck, and let’s not forget the Floyd Rose Tremolo. We’re loving that burst finish that outlines the mahogany body.

What a fantastic concept that was execusted beautifully by Kurt Walton.  A Charvel Style 2 with a “Chessboard” theme made of birdseye maple and ebony. We like how it’s kept simple with a string-thru body bridge and a single master volume/humbucker configuration. Last but not least are the cool chess piece inlays done by Ron Thorn.

This “Lil’ Demon” was painted with that badass color scheme by Ernie Pegregon, and the guitar is built with an alder body, quartersawn maple neck with a fast playing oil finish and a rosewood fretboard. Add in the Seymour Duncan TB-14 Custom 5 humbucker and you’ve got a guitar that’s ready to inflict some Rock and Roll pain and punishment.

Everyone already knows the Music Zoo is a huge fan of natural oil finished Charvels, so when we saw this 7-string built by “Red” Dave Nichols, our hearts almost skipped a beat. Features include a natural oil finished mahogany body, quartersawn 22-fret maple neck, and a Duncan Custom bridge humbucker and Duncan Full Shred neck humbucker…Dave, we could hug you.

All four of these masterpieces will be available for sale. Contact our sales team if you would like to get one of these NAMM one offs into your hands ASAP!
