Ibanez Nu Tubescreamer

Winter NAMM 2018 Coverage: The new Ibanez Nu Tubescreamer is coming to The Music Zoo! The Ibanez Tubescreamer is a household pedal name, almost on the level of a genericized trademark like Kleenex or Band-Aid. And despite it's moniker, it's never had an actual tube inside. But with the new Korg Nutube technology, the revered Tubescreamer takes another step forward into true triode tube territory!

Korg's Nutube is quite the revelation - it may not look like a traditional 12AX7, but this small footprint piece of engineering is built the same way - with anode grid filament construction. It operates just like any typical triode tube, therefore, it provides rich harmonics, and a very pleasing gain structure and break-up.

The new Ibanez "NTS" Tubescreamer uses the Nutube to provide a truly tube-enriched tone. The pedal also features a new blend control which lets you mix the clean and overdriven signals. It can also operate at 9 volts because of the Nutube's low current draw.

The Nu Tubescreamer can also be found in the Vox MV series amplifiers!

If you need to get you hands on one of these ASAP, don't hesitate to contact our sales team today! Or you can view all of our Ibanez products here!

The video below is not an official Ibanez video, but it's a nice little demo of this upcoming Tubescreamer - check it out!
