New Yamaha Made in Japan FG Acoustic Models Announced for 2023: the FG9 M Mahogany and FG9 R Rosewood!
The Music Zoo is very excited to announce the latest acoustic guitars developed by Yamaha - the built in Japan FG9! There are two models available with either Indian Rosewood (FG9 R) or African Mahogany (FG9 M) and they're full of features and details both technical and cosmetic that show off the skill of the luthiers at the Yamaha Japan factory! What they've accomplished doesn't disappoint.
Both the Rosewood and Mahogany models are FG bodies with cosmetics that pay tribute to Yamahas Japanese heritage and history. The ebony fretboard features subtle Kumiki (Japanese wooden puzzle) inlays, a matching "FG" logo inlaid in the heelcap, and a Japanese rope pattern intricately inlaid as the soundhole rosette. Lastly, beautiful Japanese washi paper is what the interior label is printed on.
