Seagull Guitars

In 1982 Robert Godin and a few friends produced the first Seagull guitars in the Village of LaPatrie, Quebec. The concept for the Seagull guitar was to take the essential components of the best hand-crafted guitars (such as solid tops and beautiful finishes) and build these features into guitars that could be priced within the reach of working musicians. Today, La Patrie has a population of about 475 and about half of these people are guitar builders. These folks take a great deal of pride in the guitars they build. Pick one up and you'll see why. Seagull Maritime SWS Rosewood QI Semi-Gloss Acoustic Guitar View

The Maritime SWS Rosewood features all solid wood construction with a select pressure tested solid spruce top and solid rosewood back & sides. The Maritime SWS also features a semi-gloss custom polished finish with a beautiful satin sheen. This finish provides excellent protection but at the same time is extremely light and elastic. This is a crucial point in both the sound of the guitar and its ability to age - a thick finish muffles a guitar's vibration and blocks aging.

The Seagull Performer Cutaway Folk Flame Maple QI, as with all Performer models, features beautiful Flame Maple back & sides, a Select Pressure Tested solid spruce top, Custom Polished High-Gloss finish, and onboard electronics with built-in tuner

The Folk model provides an excellent mid-range response due to its smaller & more narrow body size which is ideal for fingerstyle players. The Quantum 1 electronics on the Seagull Performer series guitars include a built-in tuner and are a standard feature on these models. This combined with a cutaway and Seagull embroidered gig-bag makes for a great package for the gigging musician.

Seagull Performer Cutaway Mini Jumbo Flame Maple QI Acoustic/Electric Guitar View

The Mini-Jumbo provides an excellent full-range of tone including a lively mid-range due to the combination of a larger lower bout, a more narrow waist and slightly thinner body depth. Also features great looking flame maple back, sides, and headstock. The Quantum 1 electronics has a built-in tuner, great for a quick tune up before a gig.
