Fano Guitars

According to Dennis Fano, his handcrafted instruments are "the guitars that might have existed in an alternate reality where the great American guitar makers and innovators of the 1950s would've existed under one roof and built on a solid foundation of classic aesthetics and time-tested materials." We like this alternate reality, and you can live there too. The Alt de Facto series is everything you love about classic American solidbody guitars with the perfect modern touches and just the right style.

Fano Alt de Facto MG6 Electric Guitar Candy Apple Red
This is a Fano that's got some serious vibe, and not to mention tone for days. This is an Alt de Facto MG6, an instrument with the feel of a 1960s electric guitar with its super comfortable "C" shaped maple neck, and some great looks thanks to the eye catching candy apple red finish and gold racing stripe.

This MG6 features a mahogany body with a very uniquely designed aged pearloid pickguard, a rosewood fretboard, a lightly-aged finish, and two Fralin P-90 pickups. What gives this guitar its range of tones is the 16-position ToneStyler knob, a control that rolls off the treble as you turn the knob down in 1/3 octave steps. This allows you to roll down the high end without losing your mids, excellent for a nice gritty tone that really cuts through. A finishing touch that we also really liked was the backplate with the cutout Fano "F" in it.

Fano Psonicsphear Electric Guitar Mars Red
It takes guts and a creative mind to create something new out of an instrument which really hasn't had its ingredients changed in over 60 years. Dennis Fano has taken the future to heart with the brand new Psonicsphear guitar. Crafted of a chambered clear acrylic body with anodized aluminum top and bottom plates, the Psonicsphear looks like the lovechild of an Ampeg Dan Armstrong guitar and a Macbook Pro. The guitar has a traditional maple/rosewood neck, and loaded with two custom-wound Lollar Omni-tron pickups with individual on-off switches. When the switches are in opposites of one another, the pickups become out-of-phase, to give you that cool "nasal" tone. If you're looking for a super-unique look to your instrument that still has a semi-traditional feel to it, pick up a Fano Psonicsphear and see the future for yourself.
