Gibson Les Paul Junior Single-Cut Electric Guitar Heritage Cherry
It’s nice to see the venerable Les Paul Junior return to the Gibson line. This classic guitar has been around since the mid-1950s, and this recent addition keeps things every bit as ballsy and rock ‘n’ roll as ever. When it debuted in 1954, it was intended as a student guitar but it took a few great rock guitarists—among them Mick Ralphs and Keith Richards—to demonstrate that the Junior was truly senior when it came to great tone and vibe. This year’s Junior remains true to its roots by using a solid mahogany body and neck, a very potent single-coil P-90 pickup, a stopbar (or wrap-around) bridge/tailpiece with lightning bolt compensation, and straightforward electronics with just a volume and tone control. The guitar includes the 2015 updates that Gibson has made to its lineup, including a brass nut and G-Force (formerly Min-Etune) automatic tuning. Beyond that, the Junior remains tied to tradition and it’s the perfect guitar for anybody who appreciates simplicity and great performance.

Gibson Les Paul Traditional Electric Guitar Ocean Blue
Just like other classic guitars, the Gibson Les Paul comes it a few different models to satisfy the needs of different players. Then, there are other details that feel vintage, such as an enhanced, finely carved maple top, which uses nicely flamed A+ maple and looks fantastic under the finish. The Traditional uses 1959 Tribute humbucker pickups that capture the output and sonic detail of the original PAFs from the ‘50s.
