Part of Taylor’s exciting spring lineup, the 416CE-LTD boasts plenty of character in looks and tone. The ovangkol back and side woods provide plenty of full midrange and bright top end with an impressive amount of clarity and fidelity. The baritone’s lower B tuning, coupled with a 27-inch scale length, make it possible to generate tonal depth with normal string tension, giving players a familiar playing experience. This makes the 416CE-LTD a great choice for a primary instrument for musicians who have a lower vocal range or favor a de-tuned guitar sound.

Here's a fantastic looking pre-owned Stratocaster with the full package; looks, tone, and playability. This is a '56 Strat with a relic Seafoam Green finish topped off with gold hardware, made by the Custom Shop in 2009. Specs on this Strat are an alder body, flame maple neck with a 10/56 "V" profile, 25.5" scale length, 9.5" scale length, 21 frets, three Custom Shop Stratocaster pickups with a 5-way switch, an American vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuners, and a 1-ply parchment pickguard.
We feel this is an exceptional Stratocaster with lots of response and snap from the maple neck, which looks great as well thanks to the flame figuring. All wear to the guitar looks original to how it was when it left the Custom Shop, with small dings throughout the body and areas of finish checking. The guitar also comes with a second tremolo system that has some lighter relic work done to it, if you prefer to change it out for a different look.

It's very well possible that there has never been a pelham blue finished Gibson that we didn't fall in love with. It holds true with this unique '58 reissue as well, with an antique pelham blue top combined with the old-school vibe of the cherry stained mahogany back, and complimented perfectly with cream body binding and pickup rings. How can you not love that trio? The instrument has a VOS finish, dulling the shine of the pelham blue down a bit, and adding a cool vibe and slight patina to the nickel hardware.

Here's a great teambuilt '59 Tele with vintage looks and modern day playability. The guitar features a sweet vintage blonde finish that allows you to see through it to the grain in the ash body, a soft "V" shaped maple neck, 3-ply parchment pickguard, and Abby handwound pickups. The updates on the guitar are found in a 9.5" fretboard radius and medium jumbo frets which make bends a breeze to play, and modern wiring, which allows you to get the widest range of tones out of the instrument.

The guitar is loaded with Ron Ellis custom-wound humbuckers and 1960 NOS capacitors at Parnell's request, and topped off with a very cool black stinger headstock finish to top off the looks of this fine signature instrument.

We look forward to the Fender Road Show every year; they fly in a few of their top guys from the Custom Shop Team (who we have a blast hanging out with and just can't say enough positive things about), and send us a Masterbuilder to talk guitar building and answers every question we throw at them. On top of that, they roll out a very special group of Limited Edition instruments built exclusively for this event.

Here's a great looking pre-owned Non-Reverse Firebird loaded with some "under the hood" features to make it one of the most versatile guitars you could have in your arsenal. This 2011 Firebird is built of a mahogany body with a set-neck construction mahogany neck, baked maple fretboard, 24-3/4" scale length, 12" fretboard radius, three coil-tapped Alnico V P-90 pickups with three push/pull volume controls and one push/pull master tone control, a 5-way pickup selector switch, mini Grover kidney button tuners, a tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, and chrome hardware.
What makes the guitar so versatile is that the push/pulls allow you to tap into the wiring of each P-90 to cut off a bit of output, producing a brighter and more focused sound. On top of this, the master tone control pulls out to put the middle P-90 out of phase for even more tonal options. The guitar does show signs of previous play time, there is a ding on the bottom edge of the body which goes down to the wood, along with scratches and scuff marks on the back of the body. However, these are only cosmetic, and there are no dings on the neck which would compromise the playability or sound of this unique Firebird.

We think you'd be hard pressed to find a semi-hollowbody Gibson electric with more class than this pre-owned Custom Shop ES-355. With its ebony finish, gold hardware, and Bigsby vibrato, the guitar is just about as slick as it gets. Other features on this 2010 ES-355 are a maple body, a 1-piece mahogany neck with a 22-fret ebony fretboard, mother of pearl block inlays and split diamond headstock inlay, 24-3/4" scale length, a slim taper neck profile, two '57 Classic humbuckers, multi-ply body binding, and all-mono wiring.
The guitar is in great shape, with only minor surface marks around the top of the body, and a small ding on the back of the body which does not break through the finish. There is no fretwear on the guitar. It's a quick player thanks to the slim neck profile, and as always the '57 Classic humbuckers can go from a clean Jazz tone to overdriven Modern Rock with a twist of the volume knob.

The Les Paul is a favorite of ours here at the Zoo, and we’re excited to offer this sleek take on the Les Paul Standard. Featuring the classic carved maple top, this version of the standard features a new modern weight relief design, which enhances that legendary resonant tone while easing the load on your shoulders. The fast neck is still there and this time around, Gibson has included some exciting electronic upgrades---the Burstbucker Pro pickups can be tweaked with coil tapping by a simple push/pull of either volume knob, offering you both single coil and humbucker tones. On top of that, the tone knobs also are push/pull functional, with a phase switching capabilities for an even broader range of tones. With this much versatility in one guitar, it’s like having three guitars in one!

Guthrie Govan's extreme virtuosity and stunning versatility require an instrument that excels at many different things. Whether Guthrie is alternate-picking shred lines at breakneck speeds, comping with jazz chord melodies, tapping with 8 fingers for fusion legato runs or strumming hard on a techno-funk tune, he needs a guitar that feels comfortable and sounds great for each style and every type of technique employed. While on clinic tours around the world, Guthrie used his own signature instrument, as well as a variety of other Suhr models. He began to take a liking to bolt-on Suhr guitars, as well as their Antique series. In turn, Suhr approached Guthrie to develop a second signature guitar, the Guthrie Govan Antique Modern. A bolt-on construction guitar with an aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
The versatility and playability on this guitar is unbelievable. The deeply carved out lower horn allows for all the frets to be reached without strain. The tone knob is a push pull pot which allows for splitting the neck humbucker. One of the coolest features on this instrument is the push button near the volume knob, which reverts the guitar back to the bridge humbucker at full volume, essentially giving you two radically different sounds at the push of a button in one guitar. The guitar has also been antique'd by Suhr, giving the instrument some finish checking and dings around the edges and contours of the body, making it look like a guitar that's been dragged around on tour for a bit.

Here's an all-around gorgeous SJ-200 Custom with one of the coolest looks we've seen on a Gibson acoustic: a combination of the classic Vintage Sunburst finish on the sitka spruce top, with a natural finish to show off all the figuring in the maple back, sides, and neck. On top of the unique finish combo, the back of the headstock has the elusive "stinger" finish, something you generally find on Les Pauls. As we all know and love this model for, the SJ-200 has that big and boomy sound that projects quite well, with an even amount of bass and treble that suits both finger-picking or heavy strumming.

When Gibson replaced the original single-cutaway Les Paul Standard in 1961 with the new streamlined, double-cutaway design that would eventually be known simply as the SG, it revamped the entire range at the same time. Along came the "student model" SG Junior, too, and the SG Special with two P-90 pickups and dot fingerboard inlays. The SG Standard would become the choice of countless legendary rock, blues-rock and metal players over the years, but its P-90-loaded-peer, the Special, would land in the hands of the player at the helm of a quartet that The Guinness Book of World Records listed as "The Loudest Band in the World." From the late '60s into the '70s, Pete Townshend of The Who made the SG Special his own, and set new standards for rock power and energy in the process.
To celebrate the Golden Anniversary of the instrument behind the Live at Leeds-era Who performances and recordings, Gibson USA releases the 50th Anniversary Pete Townshend SG. Rendered with all the period-correct details of an early '60s Les Paul/SG Special, with Townshend's preferred hardware complement, this model represents the early '60s SG Special with a smaller pre-'65 pickguard (5-ply B/W/B/W/B) that Townshend used for the first British Quadrophenia shows in late 1972 and early '73, before switching to a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe for the remainder of the '70s.

The Stratocaster® is an icon. A legend. It's one of the most played and most playable instruments ever made. We love a vintage Strat at The Music Zoo. But one of our favorite neck shapes ever to come on a Fender® guitar came not on the Stratocaster®, but on the '51 Nocaster®. As far as we're concerned, Leo Fender hit it out of the park on his first swing. Fender's first solidbody guitar had a neck shape that can only be described as colossal. We liked the Fender® Custom Shop's reissue of the '51 Nocaster (and that huge neck) so much that we had to have it on a Strat. Call us selfish, but we got what we wanted, and now you can have it too. The Nocaster-Neck Stratocaster. The NoNeck.
It's no wonder that Leo Fender hit a home run in 1951; many guitarists have noted that the neck felt like a baseball bat. It is super round, a big fat "U" shape that has very little taper from end-to-end. The NoNeck looks like a '60 Stratocaster® but has the amazing feel of an original Nocaster. We can't tell you how many times people who are accustomed to a skinny "fast" neck have picked up a NoNeck Stratocaster®, smiled, and said it was the most comfortable neck they've ever played. But it's not just the neck shape that makes these guitars special, we have rolled some of our favorite guitar specs into the NoNeck as well. A relatively flatter than vintage 9.5" fingerboard radius and big 6105 medium jumbo frets make bends and fast fretwork easy peasy. The pickups are consistent with a '60 Stratocaster®, but with a twist in the middle pickup: it's reverse wound, flipping the polarity so when the 5-way pickup selector is in one of the "in-between" positions (which we love) the usual pickup hum is gone. Essential if you crank it up and play with overdrive.
The NoNeck is available in both NOS and Heavy Relic nitro-cellulose lacquer finishes. The Heavy Relic versions have the finish worn off the back of the neck as well. Feels great. Lots of colors available too. So are you ready for one of the most comfortable Stratocasters you've ever played? Give us a call or an email for an in-hand description of the NoNeck Stratocasters® we have in stock now.

At the Music Zoo we like to think that "if it ain’t broke, don't fix it." However, we also like to say "if it works, let's make it even better." Owner Tommy Colletti had several meetings at the Jackson Custom Shop with Jackson mastermind Mike Shannon, the man responsible for some of the most famous Jackson guitars of all time (including Randy Rhoads' personal Jackson V's) and discussed how we could take the looks and playability of the classic SL2H even further. We looked at the most-requested player changes to custom orders of the SL2H and have now created the SL2H-V, V for "Vintage."
The brand-new Music Zoo-exclusive SL2H-V has moved the knobs and toggle switch 1" closer to the bridge, giving you way more space for your picking hand to move around without bumping into any controls. It also has a non-recessed Floyd Rose tremolo, giving the guitar both a vintage look as well as giving the body more mass for sustain without having a chunk of wood taken out of the body. The guitar is loaded with an EVH low-friction volume pot, brass control knobs and end pins, and a smaller-sized headstock with a vintage Jackson logo that is identical to the headstock found on the original Rhoads Concorde.
If you think these are small changes that wouldn't make a big difference, we dare you to pick up an SL2H-V for yourself and see how the Zoo has taken a classic Jackson guitar and one-upped it to the next level.

First and foremost, the Natural Soloist has a mahogany body and neck with a gunstock oil finish applied right to the wood. This allows the instrument to breath more, giving lots of resonance to chords and riffs, and well as a fast playing and "woody" feel to the neck. The SL2H-V Natural Series has moved the knobs and toggle switch 1" closer to the bridge, giving you way more space for your picking hand to move around without bumping into any controls.
