Limited Carroll Shelby Fender Stratocaster

Fender Guitars has a long history of building special edition guitars for Ford Motor Company, and the latest guitar just announced is paying tribute to the legendary Carroll Shelby.  Shelby is a true automotive icon.  He first made a name for himself as a race car driver in the 1950s and early ’60s, and then went on to create some of the most important and brutally fast race cars in the world, the Cobra and the Daytona Coupe, as well as heading Ford’s GT-40 racing program, all of which turned the racing world on its ear by beating European rivals like Ferrari and Jaguar on their own turf.  Riding on the success of Shelby’s racing programs, Ford worked with Shelby to release special editions of the Mustang, starting with the 1966 GT-350, and this relationship continues to this day with the all new Shelby GT-500.  All of this machinery is depicted on this Limited Edition USA Stratocaster, along with the man himself in his signature cowboy hat.  Only 100 will be produced.  Get more details after the jump.
