Polyphia Reveals New Prototype Ibanez Guitars!
Posted on by Walter Bryant
Progressive instrumental band Polyphia is steadily rising in fame on the nu’ progressive scene, blending catchy riffs, poppy interludes, and head-nod inducing verses, creating somewhat of a new wave of guitar music. With a lot of buzz surrounding their current “Lit AF” Tour, Polyphia revealed what the folks at Ibanez have been cooking up for them on instagram. Judging by the few images that have surfaced, the “prototype” guitars feature what looks like a Satin finish, possible roasted Maple neck, “vintage style” 2-point tremolo, and an H-H pickup configuration with coil tap/splitting capabilities. These guitars also appear to sport an entirely new body-shape for Ibanez. All-in-all, this prototype model looks very promising, and as we’ve heard at Polyphia’s recent show in New York, sounds great too. That’s right, they’re already performing with these bad boys. So, if you’re hoping to get a closer look at these guitars, be sure to catch them during one of their stops on tour! We will keep you posted on these guitars as more info becomes available, so stay tuned to The Music Zoo Blog for the latest updates!
