RIP Stevie Ray Vaughan
Posted on by Walter Bryant
25 years ago today, the world lost one of the most iconic figures in guitar history; Stevie Ray Vaughan. But like all musicians, his legacy continues to flourish with the countless songs he left us with. Hailed as possessing one of the most recognizable voices (and guitar tones) of our time, SRV was an ambassador of Texas music, and it was evident with every single one of his compelling performances. He was truly an inspiration to many players to come after him, many of which attribute their success to Stevie’s legacy. “I don’t think anyone has commanded my respect more, to this day.”, says Eric Clapton. SRV’s presence is certainly missed, so we would like to use this opportunity to celebrate all that he has done for the world of music. Here are a few of our favorite SRV songs!
