The '56 Reissue is a true classic, and a major turning point in the development of the Les Paul in the 1950’s with the introduction of the tune-o-matic bridge. For those of us that like a chunkier neck profile than the "V" contours of a '59 - the '56 fits right in the palm of your hand and gives a great grip for digging in deep on rhythm playing. The Standard Historic is built with a hide glue neck construction, nitro lacquer finish, and two P-90 pickups for a tone that can go from bell-like chime to ripping leads with a turn of the volume knob.
