Product Description

Martin Custom Shop Size 2 Figured Koa 1935 Teardrop Sunburst

This very lightly used Size 2 from the Martin Custom Shop is as much of a work of art as it is a musical instrument. It was originally sold by The Music Zoo, and is still in excellent condition with with only very light strum marks around the body. This is a Size 2 with a 1935 Teardrop Sunburst finish on an Adirondack spruce top, along with a natural finish to showcase the unbelievable figuring of the koa back and sides. The guitar is built as a Martin would be in the 1800s, with friction tuners (there are Peg Hed Planetary Perfection tuners), a logo-less front headstock with the Martin logo pressed into the back, and a bone nut and saddle with a matching koa headstock overlay.
