Martin first introduced their Dreadnought models in 1931 after a custom order from the Oliver Ditson company. This used D-16RGT is a modern variation of this classic design. Featuring a Sitka Spruce top, the 16 series adds modern features that make this guitar perfect for players looking for their first martin. The combination of the solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides with the large body gives the guitar a huge, full-ranging tone perfect for strumming and flatpicking. The Mahogany neck is topped with a 20 fret black Richlite fingerboard that's inlaid with understated Pearl dots. Hybrid "X" bracing allows for a great projection when you dig in, and the classic Martin appointments, such as the Herringbone rosette, give the guitar a signature look. This guitar is in excellent overall condition with few signs of use.
