The American Dream series is named for San Diego's American Dream guitar factory, where Bob Taylor, Kurt Listug and Steve Schemmer all got their start building Taylor guitars after purchasing the factory from the previous owners. This is the AD22e, a Grand Concert American Dream model featuring a solid mahogany top with sapele back and sides - giving the AD22e a bold midrange character with clear and pristine high-end. The Grand Concert’s 24-⅞” scale length makes for a relaxed, slinky feel that will please fingerstylists and traditional pickers alike, while the hardwood top helps to even out the attack for a more balanced sound all the way down the neck. Chamfered body edges provide an even more intimate feel, while the ultra-thin matte finish preserves the guitar’s performance-forward aesthetic.
