This is a Recording King M-3 model, made in the 1930’s sold through Montgomery Ward. Recording King instruments were made through the Gibson company and sold through the mail order catalog – as many other major companies became manufacturers for smaller brands that were sold as affordable mail-order instruments. The M-3 is built with a spruce top, laminate maple back and sides, 5-piece neck, and an adjustable rosewood bridge. The scale length on the M-3 is 24-3/4”. The guitar is in good playing condition, there is an area of wear on the back of the neck around the cowboy chords area with checking and dings throughout the rest of the guitar. Overall a fun player of an instrument that’s over 60 years old, and includes a non-original hardshell case.
Includes: Non-Original Hardshell Case
