This is a guitar with a very cool back story. Here we have an instrument built by the well known luthier and guitar repair guru Dan Erlewine in 2006. This guitar was ordered from Dan to be a piece that was inspired by the famous Blues Power guitar that Dan built for Albert King. The guitar is even built from the same 160 year old walnut tree that Dan had in his possession since the 1960’s. This guitar is called the Blue Light Special – due to the bright blue LED’s embedded in the neck of the guitar as fretboard inlays as well as side dots, activated with a toggle switch on the top. The fretboard on the guitar is made of Brazilian rosewood, and the humbuckers are a set of J.M. Rolph PAF styled pickups.
There are a few dings and dents around the body, mostly on the side edges. The tortoise plastic tailpiece is starting to lift on bass side corner. There are a few light blemishes around the headstock. Other than the light cosmetic blemishes, this is a super fun guitar to play, and a dream on a dark stage, thanks to the LEDs!
Includes: Epiphone Hardshell Case
