Fender Announces New Signature Models for Laura Lee and Mark Speer of Khruangbin!
Fender's latest addition to their Artist Roster is an exciting one! Introduced today, the new Mark Speer Stratocaster and Laura Lee Jazz bass from the psychedelic rock group Khruangbin!
Limited Edition Mark Speer Stratocaster
Mark Speer's new signature Fender Stratocaster boasts a beautiful natural ash body and has been furnished with upscale features that set it apart from the pack. For pickups, Mark has DiMarzio Pro Tracks in the neck and bridge that deliver vintage humbucker tones, while the 70’s Fender Stratocaster middle pickup gives the guitar an even wider range of tonal options.
For the neck, we have a Custom “C”-shape neck with a 7.25” radius and 21 jumbo frets for a comfortable feel, while the vintage-style synchronized tremolo provides classic Strat vibrato action. Finally, Graph Tech saddles and string trees increase harmonic content and improve tuning stability.

Laura Lee of Khruangbin's Signature Sound is brought to life with her new eye-catching chromed out Vintage White Jazz Bass.
For tone, this Fender JB comes equipped with DiMarzio Ultra Jazz pickups for deep lows, percussive highs and rich harmonic overtones that help define Laura Lee’s sound.
The bass also features vintage-style concentric volume/tone knobs for each pickup allow complete control over your sound. The Custom “U”-shape neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5” radius and 21 jumbo frets, providing a comfortable, unique feel just like Laura’s bass. It's a work of art, just as you'd expect from a band that thrives off what their instruments provide sonically and visually.
