Fender Vintera '60s Telecaster Modified Tone

One of our favorite parts about the Vintera Series are the hot pickups boasting a bit more power than the average Tele pickup set, and will have players cutting through the mix with ease. The switch is a 4-way control, letting you put the pickups in series for a fuller sound. But make no mistake, this thing is very much a Telecaster, and brings you that signature twang that we've come to know and love thanks to its vintage-style bridge.

Why We Like It

The series wiring option makes this Tele sound fatter than the standard parallel switch (which is still available via the 4-way control) while the S-1 switch on the volume knob puts the pickups out of phase with each other for a cool “strangled” tone, with a sound that gives you a sort off bass-cut tone.

You Might Also Consider

If you're looking for a fuller-feeling vintage-style neck, you may also want to consider the Fender Vintera 50s Telacaster Modified, sporting all of the goodies of the 60's model, but with a thicker soft V-shaped neck and optional Ash body that will give the guitar an even brighter tone.
