Gibson Collectors Choice #14

The Music Zoo is a big fan of Gibson Custom’s Collector’s Choice series, not only because we sell them—and they definitely do sell—but because they’re exquisite recreations of some of the finest guitars that the company has built. Some of these instruments are famous, and some are obscure. All are amazing. Number 14 in the series is a recreation of a 1960 Les Paul owned by Waddy Wachtel and obtained from Stephen Stills in 1968. Waddy, for the unfamiliar, is an L.A.-based guitarist, songwriter, and sessioneer who’s played with everyone from Keith Richards to Stevie Nicks and so many others. He’s the tall guy with the long wavy hair and granny glasses who looks like he’s having a really, really fun time onstage.  Below is a bit of what Gibson has to say about the recreation of this fabulous guitar, along with a list of the guitar’s specs.
