Gibson Custom Shop Eric Clapton 1958 Les Paul Custom Murphy Lab Guitars - Available at The Music Zoo!

The 1958 Les Paul Custom which Eric Clapton used on the first American Cream tour as well as Disraeli Gears then gifted to Albert Lee, has been recreated perfectly by the Gibson Custom Shop - it is available now at The Music Zoo!
There's a ton of wonderful history behind the original '58 Custom which inspired this run. During Cream’s first American tour, Eric purchased a three-pickup 1958 Les Paul Custom, serial number 8 6320, which he used on Disraeli Gears, multiple tours, including with Delaney & Bonnie, and on and off throughout the rest of the 1960s and 70s. In 1979, he gifted the guitar to fellow legendary guitarist Albert Lee, who continues to be inspired by it and uses it to this day.

The aging recreated by the Murphy Lab is really beautiful on this run of guitars. We especially love the details on the headstock that include chipped binding and burns from a cigarette kept up there between the strings. Each guitar has a special commemorative Duck Bros. case included with it along with a second pickguard displayed in a wooden case which is signed by both Eric Clapton and Albert Lee. There's also a black leather strap and a non-commemorative Gibson Custom switch plate medallion. Only 150 guitars were produced worldwide and supplies here at The Music Zoo are extremely limited.
