Which Gibson Generation Collection Guitar Is Right For Me?
From the four different Generation Collection guitars, let's break down which shape could be the right guitar for you! If you're a fingerstyle player who wants a crisp top end with not too much lows that would overpower the high strings, the small parlor G-00 is the pick! On the opposite end of the spectrum of low end, the largest sized Generation is the G-200 with a full-size 25.5" scale length, the G-200 has a full and rich tone that pumps out lots of bass, but still a clear treble. The more you put into your strumming energy the more the guitar will give back! The G-200 also features the LR Baggs Element Bronze pickup.
The two 'middle ground' guitars are the G-45 and the G-Writer. If you're looking for classic Gibson Jumbo style with a 24.75" scale length and lots of dynamics from a tight low end and warm mids, the G-45 is the one to pick up. Singer-songwriters and live performers are going to love the cutaway body on the G-Writer, which has a 25.5" scale length and the LR Baggs Element Bronze pickup as well!
