Gibson Memphis: What’s In Scotty Moore’s Suitcase?
Posted on by ZooKeeper
During a recent trip to Gibson’s Memphis, Tennessee archtop guitar factory, we expected to see the ES-295 Scotty Moore prototype guitar, but what we didn’t expect was to get to check out his pedals and original amplifier! When you’ve made your mark on music forever by backing Elvis Presley with a guitar that has been called “the guitar that changed the world”, what’s in your suitcase? Genuine Elvis DNA? Chunks of pure magic? Nope. Just an assortment of BOSS effects, some cables, and talcum powder.
Nothing too secretive in this working man’s setup. Just a reminder that the secret to success is old school hard work, talent, and skill! But a great guitar like the ES-295 doesn’t hurt either. Interested in one of your own? Check out the Gibson ES-295 Scotty Moore guitars we have in stock now!
