Godin Reinvents An Icon: Type 2 And 3 Models
Posted on by ZooKeeper
Last year’s Godin Icon was a very successful guitar and hit a new audience for Godin, an audience that hungers after fat rock and roll tones. This year they are expanding the line with two new set neck models, the Type 2 and Type 3. These are built to be flexible tonally, and come with some interesting pickup configurations. The Type 2 Classic features a Godin GHN1 humbucker along with a Duncan ’59, and the Godin High-Definition Revoicer. The Type 2 Convertible swaps in 2 Seymour Duncan P-Rail pickups with mini switches for humbucker/single coil/P-90 (pictured above), and the Type 3 goes full vintage with 3 Lollar p90 single coils (below). These will be very nice guitars for the money, and will be available at The Music Zoo.
