Ibanez MSM100 Marco Sfogli Signature Tone

The MSM100 is loaded with DiMarzio pickups, specifically the  Air Norton™ and The Tone Zone. These two modern-voiced humbuckers  are perfect-matches, and perfectly complement each other. The 3-way switch gives you all the tonal options you'll need, as each selection is very distinct of each other. Plug in, and you'll be met with a handful of sustain and clarity.

Ibanez MSM100 Marco Sfogli Signature Feel

The Ibanez MSM100 invites you to play longer, faster, and without fear of being to aggressive. Play uninhibited with the Super All-Access Neck Joint offers superior playability with its 8mm concave curve from the body top to the spherical surface of the joint area. Not only does this features provide the player with easier fretboard access, but also improved sustain and resonance.

Why We Like It

Unlike most Ibanez guitars we've played, this one doesn't feature an Ibanez or licensed tremolo, but an official Gotoh T1802 tremolo bridge. This bridge felt super-smooth, featuring machined titanium saddles and a machined steel tremolo block for a quick response, thick lows and rich highs. We were also pleased with the 10.5mm string spacing which made picking across strings much easier than we are used to.

You Might Also Consider

If the MSM100 is a little to stream-lined for you, try the AZ Prestige AZ2402. As the model the MSM100 is based upon, the AZ2402 gives you a little more versatility with a few less personalized appointments. You'll also find the "C" shaped S-TECH roasted maple neck, smooth neck heel here. On the electronics side of things you'll get a mini-toggle Alter switch, which when combined with the 5-way switch, will tap the humbuckers for a total of 9 tones out of a single instrument!
