NAMM ’14: Stephen Stern Gretsch Electro 2
Posted on by ZooKeeper
More delicious goodness from NAMM 2014 that will be heading to The Music Zoo. This is a Masterbuilt Gretsch ’53 6192 Electro 2 Relic in Aged Amber made by Stephen Stern. When Gibson unveiled their flagship archtop L-5 CES in 1951, Gretsch returned fire with the Electro 2. This was Gretsch’s most expensive guitar in their catalog at the time and originals are incredibly rare. Stephen has done a tremendous job recreating this amazing instrument, with details that include a Nitro Lacquer finish, Dynasonic Pickups, Curly Maple Top, back & side, Curly Maple Neck, Rosewood fingerboard, Tort Shell Binding, and a Synchro-sonic bridge w/ Harp style Tailpiece. After NAMM, it will be available for sale at The Music Zoo. Interested? Get in touch with sales@themusiczoo.com.
