Winter NAMM Coverage 2018:  Martin Guitars has announced Standard Series upgrades, available at The Music Zoo, and fresh off the digital presses! This is the most significant update to the company's flagship core lineup in it's rich 185 year history! You may have noticed the tasteful updates to the D-28 in 2017 - and now these extend to the most popular Standard Series models, which have been woven into the fabric of our society since their inception!

Martin successfully tackled the challenging catch 22 facing many guitar builders today - creating a modern instrument while still remembering their heritage and retaining original era features people love.

Notable updates include the addition of the modern high performance neck profile, for a thinner, more comfortable neck. But they also contrasted it with vintage appointments, including open gear tuners and aging toner top finishes. Tone-wise, they have also been updated to include scalloped and forward shifted top braces, depending on the style. These Standard Series guitars will sound, feel, and play better than ever before!
