Steve Miller Stops By The Music Zoo
Posted on by Tim Reynolds
When a bus so big that it darkened the store’s windows and took up half the block pulled up out front yesterday, the first thing we said was “I can’t believe that guy found a parking spot.” The next thing we said was “Hi, Steve Miller!” Steve, along with his tour manager Scott Boorey, came in on his way to a Steve Miller Band performance at the Theater at Westbury to check out some guitars.
Steve and Scott obviously passionate about guitars, and love a lot of the same stuff we do. Some guitars Steve definitely took a shine to were the Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Ultra Aged Les Pauls and the Fender® Custom Shop Ultimate Relic Stratocasters®, as well a USA Gretsch® White Penguin. The Music Zoo’s owner Tommy Colletti had a lot of fun trading gear stories with Steve and Scott, and it was a thrill for the whole staff to meet a bona-fide music legend. Thanks for stopping by, Steve! The Steve Miller Band is on tour in the Eastern United States through the end of Novemeber.
