The John Cruz Masterbuilt Samurai Stratocaster
Posted on by ZooKeeper
NAMM 2012 This may very well be the coolest guitar at all of NAMM 2012. We had to muscle our way past a crowd of camera-wielding Fender fans just to get a closer look at this work of art. The Samurai Stratocaster is a mind-blowing expression of ancient japanese culture using some of the finest Koa we’ve ever laid eyes on and utilizing the talents of painter Pamelina, leatherworker Dru Whitefeather, and inlay artist Ron Thorn. We got John Cruz to give us the story behind this guitar on video, so we’ll let him tell the rest. Oh, and this guitar is coming to The Music Zoo. It ain’t cheap, but damn is this thing pretty.
