Back in February we were invited to be a part of a very exclusive event held by the Smithsonian and the National Museum of American History who honored Mr. Eddie Van Halen for his musical achievements and role in advancing the use of guitars and amps in modern-day music. His contribution has led to the creation of sounds and songs that have now become soundtracks to our lives, and also a staple of Rock and Roll history. You can read the Van Halen post here!
Recently, we had another amazing opportunity to sit down with legendary Thrash Metal band Slayer to talk about their musical roots and how they evolved into their signature sound. We would like to extend a huge “thank you” to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and good friend of the Zoo, Rob Kaplan.
We also got to be on stage for our own private mini-show as the band pounded out 5+ songs during sound check for that nights gig! Watch the official interview below!
Enjoy!
Have a look at the exclusive photos from the event below!
