It's pieces like this that make you appreciate the history of the individual guitar as much as the guitar itself. This is an original Zemaitis Harp 12-string acoustic guitar, built by Tony Zemaitis for the original owner named Allen Radu back in 1973. The guitar has a big and bolt 17" lower bout with a cedar top and mahogany back and sides. The bass notes that come out of the guitar boom like a cannon. The guitar is in good playing condition with scratches and dings throughout the guitar that have accumulated over the light finish throughout the years. The provenance that comes with the paperwork included in the guitar is where it really becomes interesting. There are scanned copies of handwritten letters from Tony Zemaitis to Allen Radu and a woman named Diane where he discusses the building process, as well as inviting them back to the UK for dinner. There is also a scanned copy of the original shipping label, and a vintage Guitarist magazine from October 1973 with Eric Clapton on the cover is included, where there is an article about Zemaitis guitars inside the magazine.
