The Story

1960 375 Mapleglo John Entwistle Collection

Rickenbacker collectors, take note of this beautiful example of a rare 375 model in Mapleglo with the original full-thickness square-style body, built in June of 1960 and owned by the legendary John Entwistle of The Who. The guitar was part of the Entwistle collection auctioned by Sotheby's in 2003. This 375 features triple Rickenbacker pickups, a double-bound body, and a vibrato bridge. The neck on this guitar has a beautiful bit of flame figure to it. The guitar has a replacement pickguard which has a crack in it as shown, and an original strap button which has cracked and been replaced on the guitar. This 375 is in very good to excellent shape too, with bits of buckle rash around the back and just a few small scattered dings around the body. The guitar includes the original case with a bit of vintage Rickenbacker paperwork as well as a reproduced scan of the original factory receipt. The pickup selector switch has been replaced with a genuine Rickenbacker replacement switch.

Includes: Original Hardshell Case, Rickenbacker Catalog Sheet, Copy of Original Factory Receipt
