The Story

1964 Coronet Cherry

It's funny how guitars considered "starter" models in the '50s and '60s have come to be regarded as some of the most highly regarded electric guitars in the vintage market, but when something sounds as good as this - how can you be mad at it? This is a 1964 Epiphone Coronet with the classic cherry finish. It has an Epiphone headstock logo with a "Dwight Model" embossed truss rod cover. The guitar remains all original except for a changed pickguard, which looks newer than the rest of the instrument and has an E-logo applied to it instead of an original pickguard with the silkscreened "E". The guitar pumps out a rich and chunky P-90 tone through the single pickup combined with a wraparound bridge, rosewood fretboard, and simple yet effective volume and tone controls. There is a bit of players wear around the body, no major areas of finish removal or any gouges in the finish. It includes a vintage chipboard case.

Includes: Chipboard Hardshell Case
