1965 ES-330 with Bigsby Sunburst Item Description

Everyone at The Music Zoo loves when a vintage Gibson ES-330 comes in, and this one is no different - the whole staff loves it. A very early 1965 Gibson ES-330 in Sunburst with a factory-original Bigsby tailpiece. In 1965, Gibson transitioned to a 1-9/16" narrower nut width with chrome covers on the P90 pickups. This guitar however, retains the 1964 and prior 1-11/16" nut width, with a tone pot code dating to 1964, and tuners to match what Gibson used prior to '65 as well. So it is very likely this is one of the last ES-330s made in '64 and completed at the factory in early '65.

The guitar retains all of the original electronics and hardware, with the original frets - with a low profile but still extremely playable. The bridge pickup is slightly lower in volume than the neck pickup due to height differences - they are both working at 100%. The Bigsby arm sits low from the original spring compressing down over the years - it still has a smooth action to it. Best of all - this guitar like any good Gibson hollowbody rings out like a bell and there's still plenty of room in the truss rod. The original case with a vintage curly cable are included with this fantastic ES-330!
