The Story

1965 Country Gentleman 6122 Chet Atkins Walnut

This vintage 1965 Gretsch Country Gentleman is a classic! It's in great shape for it's age and loaded with tone and vibe, while retaining excellent playability and sound structure. Features include the all maple walnut stained body, the original Filter'Tron and Super'Tron humbuckers, rocking bar bridge with double mute, Bigsby tailpiece, simulated f-holes, back pad, and multiple bindings. The maple neck is topped with a bound ebony board boasting red side dots, and the original Grover imperial tuners.

This 6122 is in very good condition for it's age. It show normal wear including surface swirling, fading of the hardware, and some scattered hard to see dings and scratches. The frets have a ton of life left, and the binding is in great shape as well. The guitar includes the original hardshell case.
