Who doesn't love a well-played Gibson SG? This is a vintage SG Special, built in a transition period between late 1965 and 1966. The pots in the guitar date to 1965, with a serial that would read that it was finished in 1966: transition specs on this one being a narrow 1-5/8" nut width and the smaller pickguard that doesn't completely surround the pickups. An interesting piece: the guitar also plays wonderfully. Lots of comfortable chord playing on the narrow nut, and life left in the frets that you can play leads. The guitar has lacquer checking and dings around the body as shown, nothing to hinder playability on the neck. It's got a ton of vibe and character to it, with a non-original hardshell case included.
