1967 Chet Atkins Tennessean Walnut Eddie Ojeda Collection Item Description

One of the great things we'd like to imagine about being a Rock Star is that you get to collect all the instrument you want! In the same vein, sometimes it's time to thin the herd, and we're more than happy to bring you the Eddie Ojeda collection of pre-owned instruments, being sold by the famed Twisted Sister guitarist through The Music Zoo. This is a beautiful Gretsch 6119 Tennessean built in the Brooklyn factory back in 1967, with a Walnut finish over a maple body, neck, and a rosewood fretboard with thumbnail inlays. This year was the beginning of the Baldwin-era, and you can see evidence of such in the knobs and the Hilo'Tron pickups. There's not any cracking in the binding as you often see on these, though the neck heel overlay might have been replaced at some point. The guitar feels and sounds wonderful. For added mojo, the guitar has the original case and Gretsch hang tags...it even has a handwritten note that someone once wrote to a new owner telling about the guitar and giving advice on how to care for it...just another thing that makes us all gushy-feeling when it comes to vintage guitars!

Includes: Hardshell Case, Original Gretsch Tags, Vintage Hand-Written Note
