The Story

1967 000-18 Acoustic Guitar

Here we have a fabulous sounding and very cool looking Martin 000-18 from 1967. This guitar features a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, faux tortoise guard, and open gear Grover tuners. It appears the bridge is a dark rosewood replacement, but the bridge plate appears to be the small maple original. The logo has been removed from the headstock, we assume to make it look more pre-war. The face of the headstock has been refinished, and the rest of the instrument seems to have a light dusting of overspray. The endpin hole has been opened slightly to accommodate an input jack, though whatever electronic used to be in here are long gone. The neck and top of the instrument are well-worn and well-played. It has such a great vibe about it in person. There are a handful small cracks on the sides and top that have long since been repaired. The guitar has had a neck set and intonates wonderfully. This one is just a joy to play, it's surprisingly one of the best sounding 000 mahogany guitars we've had. It's loud, open, clear, and sustains for days. Simply a sublime tone about this one. Classic Martin sound with that well-played look you only get from actually playing for decades. This is a solid instrument, ready to play, in need of nothing.

Includes: Non-Original Hardshell Case
