A cannon of an acoustic guitar, this is a vintage 1968 Gibson J-200 which once belonged to John Entwistle in his vast guitar collection. This guitar was sold through Sotheby's Auction House in 2003, with auction ID tags still on the case. This guitar can date to 1965 or 1968/1969 as Gibson reused serials around that time. According to the specs such as the ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles, the guitar should be 1968 along with the saddles and Grover tuners. The pickguard on the guitar has been replaced at one point in time. The guitar has lacquer checking around the body, and a small amount of dings, no structural cracks or anything. It includes a hardshell case which is still tagged with Sotheby's auction labels as shown. This J-200 is an absolute gem, and plays wonderfully. It has a slim 1.58" nut width and is great for quick chord playing.
