This is a vintage 1974 Gibson Howard Roberts Custom archtop guitar with a nice and rich Sunburst finish! This unique guitar features a laminated maple body with the classic "L" style center oval sound hole, a maple neck and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl block inlays. The guitar has a Florentine cutaway, a 16” lower bout and a trapeze tailpiece with Howard Roberts' name stamped into the wooden inlay. It's loaded with a single low-output floating Gibson humbucker that’s controlled by a master volume with separate bass and treble controls. Other tasteful appointments include the colorful vine headstock inlay, slotted inlays, and nickel Grover tuners.
The guitar had a top crack which looks to have been repaired and is structurally sound. The guitar is missing the tortoiseshell pickguard, though includes the mounting screws in the case. There's oxidation on the hardware and a medium amount of dings throughout the body and neck as pictured. It's a great player and a very unique artist signature model. The original hardshell case is included.
