The Story

1978 B.C. Rich Bich Natural

This is a 1977-78 B.C. Rich Bich with a natural finish and a birdseye maple body - this is a very early non-serialized guitar with the pots dating to '77, right before the unveiling of the Bich model at the 1978 NAMM show. The guitar is the six-string version of the Bich and it features active electronics, two blade DiMarzio X2N humbuckers which are aftermarket and look to be installed decades ago, and aftermarket Grover Imperial tuners to replace the Sperzel tuners which were on the guitar for some time. The guitar has a light to medium amount of wear around the body, and only the first three frets show wear. Some of the pots turn slightly harder than others from age, though all of the active electronics on this Bich work as they should. It's an incredible piece for B.C. Rich collectors, and includes a rock-solid fitted road case that protects the guitar incredibly well.
